Welcome to BreathePause ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience when using our breathing and meditation app.

This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the BreathePause app for iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS (collectively, the "App").

Information We Don't Collect

BreathePause is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Browsing history or app usage analytics
• Any data that could be used to identify you personally

Data Stored on Your Device

BreathePause stores the following information locally on your device:

• Session History: Records of your breathing sessions, including date, duration, technique used, and mood ratings
• Preferences: Your app settings such as preferred animations, sounds, and haptic feedback intensity
• Statistics: Aggregated data like total sessions, streaks, and progress
• Achievements: Badges and milestones you've unlocked

This data is stored using Apple's secure on-device storage (SwiftData and UserDefaults) and is never transmitted to external servers.

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled, your breathing session data may sync across your Apple devices through iCloud. This synchronization is handled entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's privacy policies. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Apple Health Integration

BreathePause can optionally sync your breathing sessions to Apple Health as "Mindful Minutes." This feature requires your explicit permission and can be enabled or disabled at any time in the app settings.

• What we write: Session duration, start time, and end time
• What we read: Your existing mindful minutes to display total stats
• Data stays on device: Health data never leaves your device or iCloud

We only access Apple Health data when you explicitly enable this feature. You can revoke access at any time through Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > BreathePause.

Apple Watch

The BreathePause Apple Watch app communicates directly with the iPhone app to sync sessions and settings. This communication happens locally between your devices using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. No data is transmitted to external servers.

Third-Party Services

BreathePause does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share any data with third parties.

In-App Purchases

If you make an in-app purchase to unlock premium features, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information.

Children's Privacy

BreathePause does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app is suitable for users of all ages and does not require any personal information to function.

Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, it is protected by your device's built-in security features, including:

• Device passcode/Face ID/Touch ID
• iOS/watchOS encryption
• Secure Enclave protection

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app
• Delete: You can clear all session history from the app settings, or simply delete the app to remove all associated data
• Export: Your session data is accessible through iOS device backups

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
